Catherine Mulcahy, CFP^®

Catherine works closely with the COO and other members of the advisory and research team to bring "clients' goals to fruition and to help make sure their finances can be a resource, rather than a hindrance, to their success." Cat, as she is known among friends and colleagues, specializes in customized strategies that align resources with client goals.

Cat joined Alexandria in June 2013 and currently works in the Arlington, VA office as a Wealth Advisor. She brings an emphasis on tax planning and financial literacy to her client relationships. Cat is an active member of the Financial Planning Association's National Capital Area chapter, serving on the Board as Secretary for 2023. She is also a member of the Financial Therapy Association and Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Catherine earned a Masters in Taxation from Northeastern University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She received a bachelor's degree in Applied Economic Management with a minor in Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

She resides in Alexandria, VA, and in her spare time serves as a soccer trainer, holding the USSF “D” License. She enjoys sports, travel, reading, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
