Scott Walker joined the firm in April 2000 and currently works in the Arlington, VA office as a Senior Wealth Advisor. He is a member of the firm's investment committee, which meets regularly to provide oversight on the firm's investments made on behalf of its clients and review strategic and tactical asset allocations and related matters. He is responsible for managing client investment portfolios and "providing financial planning guidance to individuals and families as they save and invest for their life goals, and as they enjoy the fruits of their savings."
Scott brings over 30 years of industry experience, with more than two decades specializing in portfolio management and financial advisory services to high net-worth families and their trusts. Mr. Walker holds CFA and CFP designations and is an active member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Washington, DC.
Before joining Alexandria, Scott served as General Securities Principal and Registered Options Principal for Investors Financial Group. Prior to that, he held posts at DeRand Pennington Bass and EF Hutton & Company.
He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and lives with his wife in Alexandria, VA. He enjoys all outdoor pursuits, especially camping, hiking, sailing, and running.
