David Beatson, CFA

David Beatson joined Alexandria in 2002 and currently works in the Arlington, VA office as a Senior Wealth Advisor. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee, which meets regularly to provide oversight on the firm's investments made on behalf of its clients and review strategic and tactical asset allocations and other portfolio related matters.

Mr. Beatson has been in the industry for over 24 years. Before joining Alexandria, he served as an investment advisor and manager for Deutsche Bank Alex Brown. He has also previously worked at The National Association of Securities Dealers and American Management Systems.

Mr. Beatson holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is an active member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Washington, DC.

He received a bachelor's degree in information management systems from the University of Maryland and has completed graduate-level coursework in finance and investment management at Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Beatson lives in Mt. Vernon, VA, with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing and skiing. When asked why he enjoys doing what he does, he states, "The highly dynamic nature of the market makes each day/week unique as it is helping clients achieve their unique life goals and dreams."
